How the company got here
High Desert Roadrunner Construction did not start in an office. It started on framing crews, on job sites where a carpenter is measured by whether his walls are straight and his headers are sized right. Delshawn McClellon spent thirty years in that world before putting his own name on a license.
Ten years ago he started taking his own work in Victorville — a bathroom here, a garage conversion there, mostly for people who had seen what he could do on someone else's job. That is still how most of our work arrives. The company grew because the phone kept ringing, not because we bought leads.
Today the crew handles kitchens and baths, bedroom remodels, room additions and ADUs, flooring, framing and drywall, hardscape and outdoor living, repairs and restoration, and commercial tenant improvements. We work across the High Desert and down into the Inland Empire, Orange County, Los Angeles, and as far south as San Diego for the right project.
What has not changed in ten years is the standard the owner learned as an apprentice: build it the way it is supposed to be built, whether or not anyone is going to see that part again once it is closed up.
Union-trained carpenter
Delshawn McClellon learned framing on union job sites, where the layout has to be right the first time and an inspector is going to look at it. That training is why the rough work on our remodels is square, plumb, and blocked properly before a sheet of drywall ever goes up.
Thirty years with a framing square
Three decades of framing means load paths, headers, shear walls, and roof lines are familiar territory. When a homeowner asks whether a wall can come out, the answer comes from experience with structure, not a guess followed by a change order.
Ten years running our own jobs
The company has been on its own license for a decade. In that time we have taken on kitchens, baths, room additions, ADUs, flooring, hardscape, and full commercial tenant improvements — and the owner has been on nearly every one of them.
Licensed, insured, and inspected
We pull permits where permits belong, meet the inspector on site, and carry the coverage that protects your property while we are working on it. Nothing about that is optional on our jobs.

Every contractor says they do good work. These are the specific commitments you can hold us to on your job.
The person who quotes it is the person who builds it
There is no commissioned salesperson between you and the crew. Delshawn walks the space, writes the scope, and then shows up in work boots to build it. Anything you were promised at the kitchen table is known by the man swinging the hammer.
One crew, start to finish
We do not hand a job off to a rotating cast of subs who have never met each other. The same core team frames it, finishes it, and cleans up after it, which is the single biggest reason our schedules hold.
Bad news early beats bad news late
Old houses hide things. When we open a wall and find failed plumbing, undersized wiring, or a previous owner's weekend framing, you hear about it that day with a price attached — not at the end in a stack of extras.
We leave it the way we would want it left
Floors covered, dust contained, tools off the walkway, and the work area swept before the truck leaves. You are living in the house while we work on it, and we build like we remember that.
